MCC5’s 32nd Silicon Steel Production Line Entered Hot Load Production

At 15:30 of July 13, 2017，#1 electrical steel production line of 1550 Cold Strip Mill of Zhanjiang Steel formally started hot load test-run. Mr. Zhi Xiwai (Vice General Manager of Baosteel) came to the site for congratulation on MCC5’s success ahead of time. Some leaders from Zhanjiang Steel, design company, supervising company, and mCC5 witnessed this historic moment.
Silicon steel is a kind of ferro-silicon alloy which is widely used in the electrical engineering. The silicon steel is divided into non-oriented silicon steel and oriented silicon steel. Silicon steel is mainly used in various kinds of motors, generators, compressors, and transformers. It is an indispensable material for electrical industry and household electric appliances.
Since 2004, MCC5 has undertaken 36 silicon steel production lines: Baosteel #3 silicon steel production line, Baosteel silicon steel Phase 1, 2, 3, 4 Projects；Shougang Qian’an Steel #1 & #2 Cold Rolling Silicon Steel Project；Taiyuan Steel Silicon Steel Tandem Cold Rolling Project; Zhanjiang Steel 1550 Cold Rolling Electrical Steel Project, etc. MCC5 has been honored as “Specialist for Silicon Steel Construction”.
In the past more than 10 years, during construction of silicon steel production lines, MCC5 has leaded the compilation of “Silicon Steel Equipment Installation & Acceptance National Standard” and has achieved the proprietary technologies in the erection control of horizontal continuous annealing furnace and large silicon steel rotary furnace, anti-deviation of super-long line, air-tightness of furnace body, etc. MCC5 has won more than 10 national patents: “Large Circular Foundation Bolt Sleeve Erection Control Method”, “Steel Crane Girder Construction New Technology”, “Super-Long Annealing Furnace Air-Tightness Test Technology”, “Trolley Off-Line Brickwork Technology”, “Rotary Furnace Backup Rolls Alignment Tools”, “Off-Line Positioning Welding Technology for Anchor Bolts of Wall Plates and Top Plates of Rotary Furnace”. “Rotary Heating Furnace Equipment Erection Method” has been appraised as the provincial construction method.
At the same time, 3 silicon steel lines of Baosteel Phase 4 Project are under civil construction stage；Zhanjiang Steel 1550 Cold Rolling #2 electrical steel production line will start hot load test-run in August 15.
