At 7:00AM of March 23 (UAE local time), UAE Fujairah Port Overland Conveyor Project, which is undertaken by International Engineering Company of MCC Chenggong Shanghai Wuye Co. Ltd., officially started the lifting installation of steel structure.
The overland conveyor is totally 4.5km long and 1.6m wide. The belt velocity is 3.15m/second. It consists of 10 belts and 9 transfer stations. The conveying capacity is 4000t/h; The truck dump station can serve for simultaneous unloading of 4 trucks, and de-dusting facilities are provided for environmental protection. This lifting installation is for BC18 section (613m long) with 73 steel supports. The installation height is 12.56m.
At present time, steel structure installation of Fujairah Port Overland Conveyor Project has been fully mobilized. The successful start has accumulated experience and generated confidence for later steel structure installation and also created good conditions for equipment installation.
